Symptom Hard Drive Controller Conflicts in Device Manager

Resolution:

Boot using Safe Mode, Remove the the very first Hard Disk Controller from Device Manager Boot to a: and run Fdisk /mbr twice, and then Sys c:.

Rename the autoexec.bat and config.sys.

Run debug

-o70 16 (o the letter as in Orange)

-o71 16 (o the letter as in Orange)

-q

Then reboot, go into cmos and save the settings and exit

Now boot into windows using Safe Mode again.

Next Go to Start, Shut down, and Restart the computer Normally.
