Was normal conflicting One of the resource arbitrators returned a failure. The device is soft configurable and currently does not have any resource. This may mean the system is totally out of resources, such as all 16 IRQ's are in use; or, it may mean the device wants a specific resource and cannot get it because another device is already using it and will not release control of the resource.

There may be a setting in the BIOS setup program to enable/disable the device, but we can override that.

Can't Share IRQ -- A PCI/EISA SCSI Controller is Sharing an IRQ That is Also in Use By a Real Mode Device Driver.

Resolution

Remove the real mode driver that is using the same IRQ as this device from the CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
