Resetting CMOS Setup With Debug

This routine will cause the CMOS checksum to become invalid thus resetting CMOS information to its factory defaults. This routine does not clear CMOS as it has been found to be destructive in the past and has resulted in many unnecessary motherboard replacements. Clearing CMOS should NOT be done as the likelihood of a virus infecting CMOS is smaller than the chance of damage due to clearing CMOS with Debug. Use This Assembly Routine When: 1. Setup will not save any options. 2. The clock in setup does not move. 3. Setup options do not seem to work properly.

Reset Setup
